Gwinnett Hospital System Foundation, Inc. is pleased to solicit applications for scholarships for those enrolled in an undergraduate nursing program in order to pursue a position of registered nurse (RN). Employees who are applying for the undergraduate scholarship must be an RN pursuing an advanced degree and meeting the criteria below:

  • Full time employee of Northside Hospital for at least one year, currently working at a Gwinnett facility. 

  • Minimum of a 3.0 grade point average

  • Two (2) Letters of recommendation-one from your immediate or past supervisor at Northside Hospital and one additional professional or personal recommendation.

  • Enrollment in an undergraduate nursing program from an accredited college or university. 

  • Submit an electronic application.

  • Must agree to the rules listed in the rules section of the application

  • Must agree that the decision of the judges is final.

 
  1. Scholarships will be awarded by the Gwinnett Hospital System Foundation, Inc. and funded by donor designated funds and checks will be payable to educational institution.
  2. All complete application information must be received by the deadline in order to be considered.
  3. Additional information or clarification will be provided to the Committee if requested.
  4. Scholarship funding is to defray costs of all or part of tuition and fees and is paid directly to the educational institution.
  5. Scholarship recipients will be contacted by April 2, 2024
  6. Each scholarship recipient will receive an invitation to a scholarship reception where they will receive the check to send to the educational institution. 
  7. Save the date for the reception -  Thursday, May 2nd at 4 pm.  We will work with your supervisor so that you can attend.
  8. Detail of reception will be emailed separately.
  9. Scholarship recipients will be expected to continue to work for Northside Hospital for a minimum of 24 months.
  10. In the event that a student withdraws from the educational institution, any monies refunded will be payable back to the Northside Hospital Gwinnett-Duluth.  No refunds or other payments will be returned to recipient.
  11. All recipients agree to be recognized in text or photographs in all Foundation.social and print media.
  12. All decisions made by the Scholarship Committee are final.
  13. All applicants must read and agree to the above.
